A Creative is a set of boards for your project. Think of it as a container for a sequence, commercial, or campaign. Each creative can include multiple frames with boards, photo boards, and descriptions.

Creatives help you keep storyboards organized by section, making it easier to plan, review, and share your work with your team.

Frames / Storyboards

  • Add new frames
Drag and drop one or multiple images into your creative, or click New Frame to upload.

  • Frame numbering & sorting
Frames are automatically numbered. To reorder, click the Sort button in the top-right and drag frames into place.

  • Insert between frames
Hover between frames and click the [+] button to add a new frame in that spot.

  • Story order vs. Shoot order
Switch between Story Order and Shoot Order using the tabs at the top of the page.

You can’t reorder frames in Shoot Order here—Shoot Order is managed in the Shotlist or Scheduling pages (covered separately).

  • Boards & photo boards
    Each frame can hold:

    • a Board (ex: storyboard artwork)

    • a Photo Board (ex: a photo of what you’re shooting or a reference image)
Boards and photo boards can be viewed side by side in Live View (covered in a separate guide).

  • Descriptions & dialogs
Add formatted text (bold, italic, color, etc.) to any frame. Highlight text and click the [“] button to mark dialog. Dialogs can be shown full-screen in Live View.

  • Frame tools
    Hover a frame to:

    • Crop

    • Replace image

    • Remove

    • Duplicate

    • Make Title Frame (adds large text across a frame for notes, transitions, or emphasis)

Creative Settings

  • Rename
Click the creative name (top) to edit.

  • Color tag
Use the color splash dropdown (top) to give a creative a color. Frames in that creative get a colored outline—helpful for quickly telling creatives apart.

  • Export & print
Export or print your boards from the settings menu (covered in another doc).

  • Aspect ratio
Default is 16:9, but you can also set 9:16 or 1:1.

  • Download all frames
Download a zip file of all frames.

  • Duplicate creative
Make a copy (e.g., “Creative v2”) before making changes if you want to keep version history.

  • Toggle board view
Switch all frames that have both a board and photo board to display either one with a single click.

To make a creative visible in Shotlist, Schedule, and Live View, it must be published. You can publish from the left menu or from Creative Settings.

Sidebar: Comments & Files

  • Open/close sidebars
Toggle with the icons up top, or use the [ and ] keys.

  • Frame-specific
Select a frame to upload files (reference images, clips, etc.) and view or add comments tied to that frame.

  • Creative-wide
If no frame is selected, upload files to the creative itself and view all comments across all frames.

  • Comment status
Every comment (not replies) has a DONE (✓) icon. Owners and admins can click this to mark notes as complete.

✅ That’s it! You now know how to set up and manage creatives, organize boards, and collaborate with your team.
